Desk top fans can also be small and so easy to accommodate on a cramped desk, there are several sizes to choose from and even the small desk top fans provide some great cooling. They do of course not have to be used only on desks as they are effective wherever you place them as long as they are close to you and so they are popular choices for bedrooms and kitchens all over the UK. They are especially popular in bedrooms as they often get very hot in the summer and a desk top fan is easy to place in a bedroom, for the best night time cooling you should invest in a tower fan though as they are nice and quiet.
Desk top fans have some useful features that can make them even more useful in the hot summer months. You can often set them to oscillate which means that they will turn on an axis and send cool air all over the room, this is ideal if you need to cool several people although it can be bad having to wait for the fan to return to your direction every few seconds. Most also have several power settings do that you can have just the right amount of cool air coming your way without having your head blown off.
Also look at the size of the desk top fan and the number of blades that it has as this will give an indication of how powerful it is and if you wish to buy a very powerful desk top fan then look at the large fans with four blades.
